Dr Shameek Popat qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1993 and obtained his MFGDP from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998. Over the last 15 years Dr Shameek Popat, has worked hard to build upon his knowledge, his experience, his skills and his reputation to be one of the most outstanding and highly respected Private Dentists in the UK. This has been recognised by the dental community as Dr Popat is the proud recipient of the “Private Dentist of the Year” award at The Private Dentistry Awards 2010.

At his multi award winning private practice in the beautiful leafy suburbs of London, Rosebank Dental Practice in Chorleywood has firmly placed a mark and established itself as an outstanding and desirable Private Practice in the whole of the UK. His reputation and skill has earned him a loyal patient fan base with many patients willing to travel far and wide to seek his expert dental opinion and his professional care.

At Rosebank Dental Practice, Dr Popat and his team seem to work tirelessly to revolutionise patient care and provide a completely unique and positive patient experience. This innovative approach to patient care awarded Rosebank, the prestigious title of “Best Practice in the South East” at the Dentistry Awards 2009.

In addition to this award, as one of the UK's leading comprehensive dental surgeons, Dr Popat has been awarded three further awards at the exclusive Smile Awards 2010. The Smile Awards 2010 which recognises excellence in clinical skills, rewarded Dr Popat with winning “Restorative Smile of the year”, the highly commended award for “Patient Smile”, and highly commended for the overall “Smile of the Year Award 2010” – this achievement was amongst a shortlist of some of the leading cosmetic dentists in the UK! Dr Popat has combined his warm, fun loving, relaxed personality with his dedication and passion for dental excellence to a well deserved high professional platform.

He is dedicated to furthering his dental knowledge and has completed the Aesthetic Advantage Course with Dr Larry Rosenthal in London and New York, the Higher Restorative course with Dr Harry Sidelsky, Implant course at St Ann’s in Manchester, but more impressively he is one of only a few UK dentists to have graduated from the world renowned Kois Centre in Seattle. He has consequently contributed to the introduction of the first ever exclusive Kois Study Group in the UK.

He is also a top instructor for the Californian Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry (CCADS UK), an active member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is also a member of the British Dental Association, General Dental Council, British Dental Health Foundation and the British Society of Occlusal Studies. He has also been called upon by many media and press seeking his comments and his expert advice.

Dr Popat is obviously a professional with drive, passion and commitment to dentistry. However he is also a man with integrity. His desire to support good causes has led him to Trek the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Toubkel for Dentaid, to race around Europe in an old banger rally to raise money for a children’s charity called, Healing little Hearts, to financially support a week long eye camp in India to conduct as many as possible cataract operations in a makeshift hospital and also to build a water well in a remote village in Africa for the villagers to use.

Dr Popat is married with three children and in his spare time Dr Popat enjoys reading, cricket, football, and supports Liverpool Football Club.
